I never liked when the DMV person would say, "smile" before taking my photo or renewing. Now that more and more states are using facial recognition software to prevent identity theft, I don't have to worry about that.Apparently, the smiles confuse the system by messing up the key points required to identify a person. So far about 6,000 people have been prevented from getting a fake ID by this method. Remember, no smiling!
